About - Littau Angus

Reuben and Betty Littau bought the ranch's first registered heifers in the mid 1950s. They brought great vision for what cattle should be- females that were structurally sound, fertile and could consistently raise a big calf.

We have continued to avoid trends and focus on cattle that work- not what's popular. That's why we still continue to create females that are maternally excellent. Cattle that breed early and have longevity are the a key to a successful herd.

However this focus on females has not put us behind on performance- we have had many sires make the Top 100 WW and YW list while making top 1% of herds in the country for Pathfinder dams. We will not single trait select in our herd - they must be well rounded.
